Leslie J. Frazier is the Senior Vice President of Community and Industry Relations at Virginia REALTORS®—the largest trade association in Virginia. In this role, she serves as the Association’s primary relationship manager who partners with external organizations with shared interests and objectives. Leslie’s work increases the Association’s housing footprint and role as the voice of real estate in the Commonwealth of Virginia. In addition, she is the lead executive for the Association’s diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives. Leslie has also served on several Committees for the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) including the Association Executive Institute Advisory Board, the Insurance Committee, and the Association DEI Advisory Board—the latter of which she led the transition from a temporary work group into a permanent advisory board and currently serves as Immediate Past Chair. Prior to association management, Leslie worked in government and politics for over eight years—serving in the administration of two Virginia governors and on several political campaigns. She served as the Assistant Secretary of Veterans and Defense Affairs, advising the Governor and Secretary on issues impacting Virginia’s nearly one million service members, veterans, and their families (SMVF). In this role, she created the secretariat’s annual legislative and budget package, and worked with the Governor’s senior policy team and members of the Virginia General Assembly to create policies for the SMVF population. Leslie also served as the Director of Virginia Fosters—a statewide initiative aimed at creating solutions for children, families, and workers in the child welfare system. It was her early endeavors on political campaigns where she garnered a foundation in community organizing, helping her to build relationships and foster strong connections to assist her with reaching her goals. Leslie received her Bachelor of Arts degrees in Government and in Spanish from the University of Virginia, and her Master of Public Administration from Virginia Tech. She is a REALTOR® Association Certified Executive (RCE)—the professional designation for Association Executives that enhances skills in REALTOR® Association Management. She also holds other certifications from NAR including At Home with Diversity (AHWD) and Commitment to Excellence (C2EX).
