ASAE's grassroots network supports the association community in the legislative process by promoting legislation that will have a positive impact on the profession. ASAE advocates call, email, write, and meet with their members of Congress on behalf of the association community.

How can you get involved? Choose the option that works for you.

Communicate with lawmakers. ASAE advocates are kept abreast of policy issues that impact the association community. Through our Inroads weekly newsletter and advocacy updates, ASAE advocates are informed of current issues, legislative and regulatory policies, and other activities affecting the association community.

Advocate face to face. Members of the ASAE grassroots network also participate in American Associations Day, the only legislative fly-in for the association community. American Associations Day, part of ASAE’s Power of A outreach, prepares association professionals to visit Capitol Hill and educate their congressional delegation on policy issues important to all associations, including healthcare reform implementation, tax reform, and nonprofit governance.
