Tarnbir has been involved in association management for 15 years and is currently the Global Director, Membership & Communities at Project Management Institute. She is responsible for growing and retaining 680K members around the world as well as PMI’s digital community which includes members, credential holders, chapters and volunteers from across the globe.
Previously, she was involved in regional roles and set up the Middle East entity for PMI in Dubai, expanded PMI’s presence in Africa and served PMI’s stakeholders in Europe and Singapore. In addition, she has helped expand MENA (Middle East and North Africa) operations for Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) and International Osteoporosis Foundation (IOF) in Middle East and Africa.
She has worked with American Marketing Association (AMA), American College of Physicians (ACP), American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and Society of Women Engineers (SWE) to help expand operations beyond North America through regional assessment and market analysis assignments.
Tarn received her Master’s in Economics and MBA in Marketing from India and has earned her certification for association executive (C.A.E) from the Canadian Association of Association Executives.
