Alexis Redmond, JD, MA, CAE, is the director, career management resources for the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). In her role, Alexis creates career development resources to support ASHA members and students throughout their career stages. She has spent the last 6 years in association management and has worked and volunteered with nonprofit organizations for the last decade.

Alexis has a diverse background in law, volunteer management, professional development, marketing, and sales. She worked for several nonprofits in Michigan before moving to the D.C. metro area in 2013. Alexis worked as a temporary editorial assistant for the American Association of Immunologists before taking a contract position as a program manager with the American Association of Blood Banks. She has spent the last 5 years with ASHA in various positions. She has worked on award-winning projects such as the ASHA Marketing Solutions website redesign and the development of the ASHA Career Portal.  

Alexis is a member of the ASAE Young Professional Committee and has been a guest blogger for the Association Now blog, where she wrote, "Authenticity: The Key to Confidence and Thought Leadership." She has been a content leader for various ASAE events, including the 2018 ASAE Annual Meeting, 2019 Great Ideas conference, and personal branding webinar series. Outside of Alexis's work within the association community, she is a member of the Family Services Committee with Habitat for Humanity Metro Maryland. She has been a recurring guest speaker for a nonprofit ,anagement course at Pepperdine University's D.C. campus.

Alexis graduated from Oakland University with a combined degree in sociology and anthropology in 2009, Western Michigan University–Cooley Law School with a law degree in 2012, and Johns Hopkins University with a master's degree in public management in 2015. She is a 2019 recipient of the Association Forum and USAE Forty Under 40 award and an ASAE NextGen Scholar. Alexis is also a member of ASAE and a licensed attorney with the State Bar of Michigan. She became a Certified Association Executive in January 2020.
