Share Your Mentor/Mentee Relationship Story

To celebrate the transformative power of mentorship, a key cornerstone of The Exchange experience, ASAE invites you to share your mentor/mentee relationship story.

Stories submitted by Friday, May 16 will be edited to exclude names and shared with your peers to vote for the story that resonates most with them. The voting period will be open to attendees from May 23 to June 8.

Then get ready to celebrate our ElevateHERTM Mentor/Mentee of the Year during The Exchange networking luncheon!

Why Share Your Story?

  • Inspiration: Your stories serve as a beacon of inspiration for both mentors and mentees.
  • Connection: We learn from each other’s triumphs, challenges, and growth.

 

What Kind of Stories Are We Looking For?

  • Memorable Moments: Share anecdotes about a breakthrough moment, a turning point, or a small victory. It could be a conversation, an event, or a shared experience.
  • Challenges Overcome: Reflect on challenges you faced together. How did you navigate obstacles? What lessons did you learn?
  • Unexpected Connections: Sometimes, mentorship leads to unexpected friendships or connections. Tell us about those serendipitous moments.
  • Growth and Transformation: If you are a mentor, highlight how your mentee has grown—personally, academically, or professionally—under your guidance. If you are a mentee, tell us how your mentor’s wisdom and support has helped you become the professional you are today.

 

How to Share Your Story

  1. Keep it short and from the heart: Please tell us your story in 500 words or less (700 max). The more authentic and heartfelt you are, the better.
  2. Submission: Please submit your story via the form below by Friday, May 16. Please remember to include the name and title of your mentor or mentee you are writing about (this will be undisclosed until the end when the Mentor/Mentee of the Year is announced).

  3. Voting: Attendees will be notified via email when the voting period is open on May 23. They will have until 11:58 p.m. ET on June 8 to submit their vote.
