Chief Member Services Officer
Possesses overall strategic and operational responsibility for the organization’s membership operations, which may include recruitment and retention of members, member services, and career services. May also have management responsibility for component (chapter) relations. May also serve as part of the executive team or have organizational responsibilities in other areas.Median base salary: $130,000
Member Services Director
Oversees development, planning, and management of organization’s membership initiatives, including membership applications process and member retention and recruitment efforts. Develops regular reports on membership metrics and may recommend/develop new member programs and services. At larger organizations, may report to the Chief Member Services officer.Median base salary: $90,176
Member Services Manager
Administers service programs for members. Identifies need for new services and develops content, scope, and cost of new service programs. May update member records and/or be responsible for the integrity of the membership database/association management system. In larger organizations, may also manage/coordinate a call center operation.Median base salary: $65,776
Membership Coordinator/Assistant
Implements the organization’s member recruitment and retention programs. May also handle subscription and/or membership orders. Median base salary: $45,000Top Component Relations Position
Coordinates the activities of the organization’s components (e.g., chapters, branches, affiliates, etc.). Facilitates the flow of information among the components and between the components and the parent organization, and provides management assistance to association’s components.
