ASAE Program Cancellation Policies

Our Guarantee

Our goal is to provide truly exceptional offerings and service, and we won't be happy until you are. If any programs, products or services of ASAE do not fulfill our promise, we will make the situation right.

Event Cancellation or Postponement

ASAE reserves exclusive right to modify, postpone/reschedule or cancel programs for any reason, including but not limited to emergency, inclement weather or other 'acts of God'. If there is an event cancellation, every attempt will be made to reschedule, and registration fees will be applied to the rescheduled event date. Any travel, lodging, or incidental expenses incurred related to a cancelled event cannot be refunded under any circumstances. If a cancelled event cannot be rescheduled, ASAE will determine an equitable basis for the refund of a portion or all of the registration fees, after due consideration of circumstances and expenditures.

Disclaimer

Registration and attendance at, or participation in, ASAE meetings and other activities constitutes an agreement by the registrant to the use and distribution of the registrant or attendees' image or voice in recordings (both live and on-demand), photographs, videotapes, electronic reproductions and audiotapes of such events and activities by ASAE and other third parties, including but not limited to the vendors, the host city, and the host CVB. Your registration may include technology that monitors your activities throughout the meeting, such as session attendance and kiosk visited.

Cancellation, Refund & Substitution Policies

In-Person Programs With Group Housing

Please note that this does not include the ASAE Annual Meeting.

This cancellation policy effective as of October 15, 2024.

For cancellations that are made more than 30 days prior to a program start date:

  • If you cancel your individual registration more than 30 days prior to the program start date, there will be a $150 cancellation fee. Please note that the $150 cancellation fee applies to each individual cancellation. For example, if you have 5 registrations made under your name and you need to cancel 3 of them, the total cancellation fee would be $450 (i.e. 3 x $150 = $450).

 

For cancellations that are made within 30 days of a program start date:

  • If you cancel within 30 days of the program start date, the fee will be 50% of the individual registration cost. For example, if the program costs $1150 per registrant and you cancel 20 days before the program, you will receive a $575 refund, and ASAE will retain $575. Please note that this fee will be applied to each individual registration that is cancelled.

 

To cancel, please send a written request via e-mail to CEOregistrations@asaecenter.org. Note that we cannot transfer cancelled registrations to future programs. We do not provide transfers, refunds, or substitutions for no-shows.

Other In-Person Programs

ASAE will fully refund program registrations fees with notifications submitted to ASAE Registration via e-mail at ASAEservice@asaecenter.org. All registration cancellations and refund requests must be made in writing by 10 business days before the program. Requests made in writing less than 10 business days prior to the first day of the program starting will receive a refund of registration fees minus a $75 cancellation fee. Refunds cannot be approved for no-shows. Substitutions are gladly accepted at any time. Badge sharing, splitting, and reprints are strictly prohibited.

Summit Awards Dinner

The Power of Associations - Summit Awards Dinner is a fundraising event, therefore we are unable to refund tickets purchased, however, tickets are fully transferable. Contributions to the Power of Associations Fund (via the Summit Awards Dinner) are not deductible as a charitable contribution for federal income tax purposes but may be partially deductible as a business expense.

Virtual Programs

This cancellation policy effective as of October 15, 2024.

You can receive a full refund for virtual event registration fees by notifying ASAE Academy via e-mail up to 14 business days before the program’s start date. If you request a refund after 14 business days before the program, you will receive a 50% reduction on the original price. We do not approve refunds, transfers, or substitutions for no-shows.

On Demand Digital Programs - Asynchronous

This cancellation policy effective as of October 15, 2024.

You can receive a full refund for digital learning track purchases by notifying ASAE Academy via e-mail within 1 month of purchasing. Ensure the course was purchased within a month of the refund request and that the course(s) have not been started. If you request a refund after the first month of purchase, you will receive a 50% reduction on the original price. We do not offer or accept transfers or substitutions.
