ASAE Formalizes Collaboration with ESAE to Amplify Content & Community for Global Association Leaders
WASHINGTON— ASAE announced today an agreement with the European Society of Association Executives (ESAE) to jointly strengthen access to content and community for global association leaders.
ASAE’s collaboration with ESAE will leverage the strengths of both organizations to expand opportunities for engagement and knowledge sharing between U.S. and European association leaders.
“The role of associations is rapidly changing and many of the meta trends influencing ASAE’s strategic direction are shared by our global colleagues,” said ASAE President and CEO Michelle Mason, FASAE, CAE. “This reality necessitates more collaborative thinking and idea sharing between leaders of organizations worldwide. ASAE’s collaboration with ESAE is an acknowledgement that no one organization has all the answers. Together, we will work to enhance the collective knowledge of the association ecosystem and better unify our vast global association community.”
ASAE’s partnership with ESAE will focus on the development of content to serve the needs of U.S. and European-based association CEO and C-suite leaders as they navigate today’s complex and rapidly evolving business environment. Among the peer-to-peer learning opportunities to be explored by ASAE and ESAE are ASAE’s Global Summit on the State of the Association Community, which will take place Aug. 20, 2022 immediately prior to the ASAE Annual Meeting and Exposition in Nashville, TN; a virtual CEO-level program this Spring including ASAE and ESAE leadership; and a virtual practical program for association CEOs based in Europe and the U.S. on navigating today’s rapidly changing environment.
“The ESAE Board is delighted to be working closely with ASAE now under Michelle Mason’s leadership,” said ESAE President Mike Morrissey. “ASAE has an excellent reputation for supporting association leaders and executives throughout their career, so we are looking forward to collaborating on content that is relevant for our members on both sides of the Atlantic. Although there are cultural differences, there are many similar challenges and opportunities for associations based in Europe and the U.S. By sharing our experience, we believe we can all benefit during these times of change.”
