The Scholarly Research Grant recipient is Kyle Albert, Assistant Research Professor, George Washington University. The grant proposal is titled: “Who Joins and Leaves Associations? An Analysis of Longitudinal.” Kyle’s research will provide valuable insights about program evaluation and impact to diverse and inclusive representation in an association’s trade, profession, and discipline.

The Sal Martino Legacy Grant for DEI Research Recipient is Rosellen Roche, Associate Professor of Primary Care; Public Health and Community Medicine, Ohio University. Her grant proposal is titled: “Promoting Professional Association Leadership through Career Mentoring for Early-Career Under-Represented Minority Physicians.” This grant represents another example of the ASAE Research Foundation’s ongoing effort to highlight collaborations between associations and the academic community to help advance knowledge in association management.

The Scholarly Research Grants Program (SRGP) has been fueling meritorious research projects to impact a myriad of topics relevant to the association management field since 2015.  ASAE Research Foundation’s Scholarly Research Program provides up to $15,000 awards to academicians, consultants, and associations investigating research questions crucial to association management functions and concerns.

As part of SRGP, the Sal Martino Legacy Grant (SMLG) supports research exploring a variety of topics on diversity, equity, and inclusion in association management. The grant provides awards to meritorious proposal addressing DEI in nonprofit membership and member-based association management and is intended to support the research activities of those working or matriculating in an academic community, association management professionals, and consultants/private contractors in association management.
